Dear Friends,

Over the course of May1-3, 2010, Nashville experienced a natural disaster of historic proportions. Storms left record amounts of rain fall resulting in unprecedented flooding which will not soon be forgotten. This is a situation which most residents in this area have never seen nor had to deal with, yet these residents responded in the true Tennessee spirit by meeting the disaster with no shortage of helpful gestures. I would like to commend you all for the manner in which you have confronted the situation. It speaks great volumes about our citizens that a good attitude has remained in tact through all of this, and I ask for your continued patience as the relief effort carries on. Please see the information below if you are in need of assistance or if you would like to know how to volunteer.

                                                                        Sincerely,

                                                                        Beth Harwell

                                                                        State Representative, 56th District

How can my company contract with FEMA to help with disaster recovery?

·        To do business with FEMA, or any other federal agency, companies, businesses and vendors of any size must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). They can do so by going to www.ccr.gov or by calling 866-606-8220.

·        Once registered with CCR, companies must provide a completed Vendor profile to FEMA-Industry@dhs.gov as soon as possible. Upon completing the CCR registration and FEMA Vendor Profile, companies can search www.fbo.gov for Federal procurement opportunities. The vendor profile is forwarded to the appropriate Contract Officer(s) for the declared disaster areas.

·        The FEMA Industry Liaison program can be contacted at FEMA-Industry@dhs.gov or 202-646-1895.

·        For more information, visit https://www.fema.gov/business/contractor.shtm.
